Membrane Wrap is a human tissue allograft derived from the amniotic membrane that provides structural tissue for use as a wound and protectant covering. It is minimally manipulated, preserving the properties that it exhibits in its natural state.

Membrane Wrap allograft tissue products have been tested for potentially infectious diseases and terminally sterilized to ensure the safety of each membrane.  Membrane Wrap is produced by MedStar’s manufacturing partner BioLab Sciences. 

After proving medical necessity and following standard of care protocols, our Membrane Wrap can be applied and is eligible for Medicare reimbursement.  Commercial insurance coverage is on a case-by-case basis.   Our treatment protocol calls for using Membrane Wrap on non-healing wounds that are non-infected.
